Polishing

Metal Cutting has over 100 mechanical polishing machines running on a lights-out schedule. We have carefully crafted recipes that combine time, temperature, action, fluids and abrasives in order to yield consistent and specialized results—regardless of quantity or part size. Drawing on our extensive experience using abrasive methods in manufacturing, we have been able to achieve specialized finishes on a variety of metal shapes and surfaces, all to customer specifications. 

With an enormous range and quantity of vibratory, barrel, centrifugal, continuous flow and ultrasonic finishing systems we have the capacity to improve the surface finishes and edge radii of your metal parts. And we use the wide range of standard media as well as our own unique specialized media to produce mirror to matte finishes on solid wire, rod and tubular parts. We continually improve our surface finish metrology measuring equipment and techniques to confirm dimensions and surface finish conditions.

• Can polish customer supplied complex machined parts as well as laser, stamped and etched components.
• Small diameter wire can be mechanically polished in our custom abrasive media to surface finishes beyond the reach of electro-chemical based polishing methods.
